  • Norfolk, on the mid-east coast has over 90 miles of unspoilt coastline, beautiful countryside, the unique Broads National Park, picturesque market towns and fabulous seaside resorts.

    Norwich is the most complete medieval city in England and has a beautiful river in the centre. It is also England’s only city situated in a National Park. Cromer has streets packed with bustling shops, pubs, restaurants and cafés in which you may like to enjoy the famous Cromer crab.

  • Sunday - We make a leisurely journey to Norfolk with stops along the way with time for lunch and coffee, arriving at our hotel with time to settle in and relax before our evening meal.

    Monday - This morning we make our way to Horning to board the Southern Comfort Mississippi Paddle Steamer for a 90 minute river trip on the Norfolk Broads. We then make our way to Wroxham Barns with an opportunity to browse around the many shops and craft centres before boarding the Bure Valley Steam Train for a 45 minute journey to Aylsham.

    Tuesday - Today we visit the East Anglia Transport Museum where the essence of transport is movement and this living museum is where vehicles of yesteryear can be seen in action. This afternoon we visit Great Yarmouth with it’s sandy beaches, lively piers and historic quayside.

    Wednesday - You have a free day today to relax and explore Cromer or further afield at your leisure.

    Thursday - Today we visit the Mannington Estate, one of Norfolk’s hidden gems nestled away in the heart of the Countryside and originally built around 1460 for William Lumnor.

    Friday - We start the day with a visit to the National Trust’s Blickling Estate. The breath-taking Jacobean mansion and ancient yew hedges sit at the heart of a magnificent garden and historic park in the beautiful Bure meadows. This afternoon we spend some free time in Norwich where you might decide to visit the cathedral, the castle, the English Heritage plantation garden or spend some time shopping in some of the many independent shops.

    Saturday - After breakfast we depart the hotel and make our journey homewards with stops along the way, arriving home late afternoon.

Severn Valley

  • Based in a unique Georgian canal town in the heart of the Severn Valley, marvel at the stunning scenery, amazing heritage, a river cruise and the vast collection of aircraft and exhibitions at the RAF Cosford Museum.

  • Monday - We travel up to Stourport-on-Severn, with comfort stops along the way. We arrive at the hotel in time for a welcome tea or coffee and cake, with sufficient time to settle in before dinner.

    Tuesday - We visit the RAF Cosford Museum today with its huge array of aircraft and displays from wartime hangars to the National Cold War exhibition, also home to the world’s oldest Spitfire.

    Wednesday - This morning we have a steam train ride on the Severn Valley Railway from Kidderminster to Bridgnorth, with some time to explore. We then make our way to the National Trust’s Hanbury Hall which offers a glimpse into life at the turn of the 18th Century, and featuring original wall-paintings by Sir James Thornhill. There are 400 acres of parkland and the original formal gardens have been faithfully recreated.

    Thursday - This morning we make our way to Shrewsbury for a 45 minute cruise on the Sabrina Boat with tea/coffee and biscuits included along with live commentary whilst enjoying the beautiful scenery along the River Severn. We then make our way to Shrewsbury Cathedral for afternoon tea with homemade sandwiches, cakes, pastries and tea/coffee followed by free time to explore Shrewsbury.

    Friday - After breakfast we depart the hotel and head for home, with stops along the way, arriving home late afternoon.

North West Delights

  • We enjoy the picturesque countryside of the North West by steam train and canal barge with a chance to get some stunning pictures along the way whilst enjoying a fish and chip lunch and explore a world famous market.

  • Monday - We make our way to our hotel in Bolton with comfort stops along the way, arriving with time to settle in and relax before our evening dinner.

    Tuesday - This morning we make our way to the City of Lancaster and have the morning free to explore. You may like to visit the City’s castle and museums to uncover the ancient stories hidden in the walls and buildings and find out more about the people who shaped the City. At lunchtime we take a 1 hour 45 minute cruise on the Rive Lune with fish, chips and tea/ coffee included. We have a chance for some stunning views when we go over the Lune Aqueduct where we will stop for a chance for pictures.

    Wednesday - Today we visit the famous Bury Market with time to explore the many stalls. We also have a return steam train ride on the East Lancashire Railway which has 12 miles of stunning scenery. We depart from the picture perfect platform at Bury which is also home to the Bury Transport Museum where the industrial heritage of the North West is brought to life before your very eyes.

    Thursday - Today we visit the National Trust’s Rufford Old Hall where you will be wowed by the Tudor Great Hall with its fantastic furniture, arms, armour, tapestries and carved oak screen, a rare survivor from the 1500s. This afternoon we spend some time in the seaside town of Southport which is a foodie’s haven and full of culture.

    Friday - After breakfast we board the coach and make our way homeward with stops along the way, arriving home early evening.

    This unique and friendly four star hotel and spa has a host of prestigious awards under its belt and is set in 20 acres of picturesque countryside. Derbyshire’s National Trust

  • Derbyshire offers a variety of stunning scenery, a wide array of interesting places to visit and many things to do, whatever the time of year. On this tour we focus on some of the beautiful properties and gardens that the National Trust has to offer.

  • Monday - We board the coach and make our way to our hotel in Derby with stops en route, arriving at the hotel with time to settle in and relax before dinner.

    Tuesday - Today we journey back in time as we board the Midland Railway at Butterley for a return steam train ride, we also have some time to explore the model railway and the garden railway. We then visit the National Trust’s Kedleston Hall which is an extravagant temple to the arts designed by the architect Robert Adam. Commissioned in the 1750s by Nathaniel Curzon, whose ancestors had resided at Kedleston since the 12th Century.

    Wednesday - We visit the National Trust’s Calke Abbey today, which tells the story of the dramatic decline of a country house estate. Discover powerful stories of a family who amassed a vast collection of hidden treasures. In the afternoon we spend some time in Derby to explore this stunning City.

    Thursday - Today we board the coach and head to the National Trust’s Sudbury Hall, a historic late-17th Century country house with plasterwork, carvings, a grand staircase and stunning gardens, once home to the Vernon family.

    Friday - After breakfast we depart the hotel and make our way homewards with comfort stops along the way, arriving home late afternoon.

  • Monday - We make a leisurely journey to our hotel in Harrogate with comfort stops and time for lunch along the way, arriving at the hotel with time to settle in and relax before our evening meal.

    Tuesday - This morning we make our way to Skipton where we have some free time before our 2 hour cream tea cruise on the Leeds and Liverpool canal. There will be fascinating stories of how the canal delivered the lifeblood of the industrial revolution through Yorkshire. In the afternoon we have a steam train ride on the Embsay and Bolton Abbey Railway. Here you can enjoy the sight and sound of powerful majestic steam engines to the more glamorous locomotives which have all been lovingly restored.

    Wednesday - Today we have a free day to explore Harrogate or further afield at your leisure.

    Thursday - Today we have a full day in York where you will find plenty to see and do such as exploring York Minster, Cobbled Streets, historic City walls, world-class museums and art galleries and a rich 2,000 history.

    Friday - After breakfast we depart the hotel and make our way homewards with stops along the way, arriving back early evening.

  • Situated just off England’s south coast, the Isle of Wight is the perfect destination at any time of the year. It has a mild climate, stunning coastal scenery, beautiful beaches and an extensive history.

  • Monday - We travel to Lymington for our ferry crossing to Yarmouth and on to our hotel in Shanklin with time to settle in and enjoy the facilities before dinner.

    Tuesday - Today we make a visit to the Ventnor Botanic Gardens which boasts an impressive collection of over 30,000 rare and sub-tropical plants and trees spread across 22 acres of gardens with a guided tour included. This afternoon we head along the coast to the Needles, one of the islands most iconic sights with its three white chalk stacks leading up to the lighthouse. There is a lot to see and do here including glass blowing, sweet making, sand filling and plenty of places to sit relax, have a drink or some lunch.

    Wednesday - Today we have a free day to relax and explore Shanklin or further afield at your leisure.

    Thursday - We start today with a visit to Sandown, a classic seaside town with plenty of shops, restaurants, bars and cafés. This afternoon we have a ride on the Isle of Wight Railway where we step back to a bygone era with the sights and sounds of majestic steam engines, whilst sitting back and enjoying the views of the island’s unspoilt countryside.

    Friday - After breakfast we depart the hotel with some free time in Shanklin before making our way to Yarmouth for our ferry crossing back to Lymington and continue homewards with comfort stops en route arriving home late afternoon.

  • Jersey is steeped in history and has many varying places of interest to visit. With its broad bays, sheltered coves and leafy lanes, all begging to be explored, and its location close to France ensures a wonderful Continental flavour. It is the largest of the Channel Islands and is usually the hottest place in the British Isles during the summer months.

  • Wednesday - Depart from your chosen pick up point and travel to Poole for the ferry crossing to Jersey, where you will be met by your representative for the coach transfer to your hotel, with time to settle in before your evening meal.

    Thursday-Sunday – After a delicious breakfast you are free to explore the delights of Jersey during the day. Return for evening meal.

    The hotel representative will be on hand in the mornings to help you plan your holiday and answer any queries that you may have.

    Monday – After breakfast depart the hotel and transfer back to Poole, where you will be met by our coach and driver to take you back to your original departure point.

  • Kendal—’Gateway to The Lakes’. Overlooked by the imposing ruins of its Norman Castle, the market town of Kendal is the birthplace of Henry VIII’s sixth and final wife Catherine Parr. Ancient Kendal is the oldest and most important of the Southern Lakeland communities. Here the clear River Kent winds its way through the town and hillside.

  • Saturday - We travel to our hotel in Kendal, with comfort stops along the way arriving at the hotel with time to settle in before dinner.

    Sunday - This morning we visit The Ruskin Museum, set in the heart of Coniston village which tells the fascinating story of Coniston and the many heroes who have worked and lived there, there will also be time to explore Coniston and maybe have some lunch before our Steam Yacht Goldola cruise. We have a 1 hour 45 minute cruise with full commentary where you can enjoy the charm of luxury travel once experienced by wealthy Victorians, as she glides across Coniston water.

    Monday - We have a free day today to relax and explore Kendal or further afield at your leisure. Kendal is home to one of the oldest museums in the country and is perhaps best known for its world famous Mint Cake.

    Tuesday - We start today with a visit to the Lakeland Motor Museum where there is plenty of time to browse the fascinating collection of over 30,000 exhibits. We then board the coach and make our way to Haverthwaite station where we have a steam train ride to Lakeside Railway station followed by a cruise from Lakeside Pier to Bowness on Lake Windermere. In the afternoon we have some free time in Bowness.

    Wednesday - After our final breakfast at the hotel, we depart and begin the journey homewards with comfort stops en route and arriving back early evening.

    Saturday - This morning we head to the National Trust’s Trellisick House and Gardens which is set on it’s own peninsula with panoramic views over the Fal estuary. You can explore meandering paths through the garden leading to exotic plants and herbaceous borders, enter the house and discover the history of families who once called it their home and maybe visit the café. This afternoon we visit Truro which is Cornwall’s only city where you might like to have a browse in the shops, visit the Cathedral or have a look around the Royal Cornwall Museum.

    Sunday - Today we have a free day to explore Newquay or further afield at your leisure.

    Monday - Today we have a visit to Padstow with it’s beautiful harbour and many quayside inns and café’s overlooking the calm waters. You might like to visit the town’s museum and see the many historic treasures, artefacts and displays, have a stroll around the town or maybe even visit the national lobster hatchery to discover the fascinating world of lobsters and the environment they live in.

    Tuesday - After breakfast we depart the hotel and begin our journey home, arriving home mid afternoon.

  • Monday - We make a leisurely journey to our hotel in Criccieth with comfort stops along the way, arriving with time to settle in and relax before dinner.

    Tuesday - This morning we make our way to the Ffestiniog railway for the Aberglaslyn steam train ride from Porthmadog to the charming village of Beddgelert. This wonderful scenic journey includes a mix of classic Snowdonia scenery with harbour views and wide vistas of the mountains. You have a 75 minute stop to explore Beddgelert and stretch your legs. This afternoon we have some free time in Porthmadog situated on the edge of the Snowdonia National Park on the estuary of the Afon Glaslyn.

    Wednesday - Today we have a steam train ride on the Llanberis Lake Railway from Gilfach Ddu station in Padarn Country Park which runs along the Llyn Padarn lake and past Dolbadarn Castle. Afterwards we have some time in Caernarfon a beautiful town on the edge of the Menai Strait with a stunning castle at its centre.

    Thursday - Today we head back to the Ffestiniog railway for the Mountain Spirit steam train ride going in the opposite direction to Tuesday from Porthmadog to Blaenau Ffestiniog with a short stop in Blaenau for a chance to take photos and admire the locomotive. The stunning scenery constantly changes as the train crosses the estuary entering ancient woods through pastures and villages. This afternoon we have some free time in Criccieth which started developing into a seaside resort in 1868 when the Welsh Coast railways were being constructed.

    Friday - After breakfast we depart the hotel and begin our journey homewards with comfort stops along the way, arriving home late afternoon.

    Tuesday: “Christmas Eve” - We start today with a visit to Weald and Downland Living Museum, a hidden gem in a picture perfect setting. It is a museum with over 50 historic buildings where you can see, touch and smell what life was like in years gone by. In the afternoon we spend some time in Chichester where you are free to explore.

    Wednesday: “Christmas Day” - You have the day free to relax and explore Bognor Regis or further afield at your leisure. You might like to guess the weight of the Christmas Cake at the hotel before your Traditional Christmas lunch with all the trimmings and a visit from Santa. In the afternoon there are games and mince pies with tea or coffee.

    Thursday: “Boxing Day” - Today we visit Winchester, a vibrant city steeped in history. Why not explore the medieval streets, admire the history of the cathedral, stroll along the river or visit some of the many museums. This evening we have a farewell dinner followed by a party with an optional fancy dress competition and a night of dancing and entertainment.

    Friday - After breakfast we depart the hotel and begin our journey towards home, with comfort stops along the way, arriving home mid afternoon.

    The hotel is situated in a delightfully sunny spot on the seafront with extensive lawns and superb views over the English Channel. There is a large restaurant with views of the gardens which will serve a full English or continental breakfast and a three course evening meal followed by tea and coffee. Take a stroll along the palm tree-lined promenade, explore the pretty gardens, enjoy the seafront heritage and see the cosmopolitan harbour. Eastbourne has something for everyone.

  • Sunday: ‘Christmas Eve’ - We make our way to our hotel in Eastbourne with comfort stops along the way, arriving at the hotel with time to settle in before a three course dinner. We have a relaxing evening of bingo and live entertainment.

    Monday: ’Christmas Day’ - Today we visit Brighton where you might like to see the Palace Pier, Royal Pavilion or the i360 giving panoramic views of the area. This evening we have Christmas dinner with all the trimmings followed by mince pies with a special guest then bingo and live entertainment.

    Tuesday: ‘Boxing Day’ - Today we have the day free to explore Eastbourne or further afield at your leisure. Eastbourne has lots of attractions from theme parks and zoos to castles, museums and art galleries.

    Wednesday: ‘New Year’s Eve’ - After breakfast we board the coach and head to Hastings for some time to browse before we continue on to the charming town of Battle, which grew up around Battle Abbey. In 1066 the area witnessed the most celebrated confrontation on English soil—The Battle of Hastings. Don’t forget to join in with ‘Auld Lang Syne’

    Thursday - After breakfast we depart the hotel for our journey homewards with comfort stops along the way, arriving home early evening.

    This Victorian hotel is ideally situated just a stone’s throw from the promenade and bandstand, perfect for a lovely stroll. Entertainment is provided most evenings in the Ballroom.

  • Friday- We travel to our hotel in central London, stopping onroute in time for lunch, before arriving at the hotel to settle in and relax. You have the evening free to explore the sights.

    Saturday- Today after breakfast you have the day free to explore London at your leisure.

    Sunday- After breakfast, we depart our hotel and your driver will drop you in London’s Park Lane for another opportunity to go shopping or sightseeing. We finally depart London at 3:30pm, arriving back by mid evening.

    This four star hotel features views of Kensington Gardens and is also situated close to Kensington Palace and Hyde Park. The Bayswater and Notting Hill Gate underground stations are a five minute walk away and Buckingham Palace is a three mile walk through the beautiful park. All rooms are en suite and have Wifi, Tv, tea/coffee making facilities and hairdryer. The Urban Meadow restaurant serves breakfast with a choice of hot and cold dishes focusing on locally sourced sustainable ingredients.
